Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival – Antigua Guatemala

Meet and greet at La Aurora International Airport and transfer to the City of Antigua Guatemala.

Day 2: Maya Villages & Walking Tour in Antigua

Walking tour in Antigua Guatemala, a smooth walking experience through the ruins, museums, monasteries, markets, art galleries and plazas of this colonial city.

Day 3: Chichicastenango Market Tour – Lake Atitlan

After breakfast, around 8:00 a.m., we will head to Chichicastenango  to enjoy the multicolored ethnic market.

Here the scent of incense and the people’s mysticism promises a unique atmosphere, bargaining of prices, and a church with mixed Mayan and Catholic traditions.

Chichicastenango is a market that appears every Thursday and Sunday and disappears as one of the ancient commercial traditions of the Guatemalan highlands and now delights visitors.

In the afternoon, transfer to Panajachel.

Day 4: Atitlan Villages Cultural Tour

Atitlan villages tour is an excellent opportunity to immerse in the Tzutujil Mayan people and discover its markets, traditions, spiritualism, and beliefs.

After visiting these beautiful villages, time to return to your hotel.

Day 5: Lake Atitlan – Antigua Guatemala

Morning on your pace and transfer.

Then continue to Antigua Guatemala to your hotel or the airport if you extend your visit to the Maya Lowlands.

Day 6: Antigua Guatemala – Copan, Honduras

Set off at 7:00 a.m. to Copan, through Guatemala’s east region with its varying landscapes of Antigua and Guatemala City’s mild weather to Chiquimula province’s dry warmth environment.

Cross the Honduran border and reach the hotel to rest before the afternoon brings you through an expert-guided tour of Copan.

Visit the ceremonial center, ball court, hieroglyphic stairway, and Acropolis of Copan Archaeological Park.

Day 7: Copan – Quirigua Archaeological Tour - Rio Dulce

Depart from Copan to embark on a fantastic archaeological tour of Quirigua, a site known for its incredible sculptures and carvings from the ancient Maya Culture!

You’ll have the chance to admire some of the tallest stone monuments in the world and explore works of art considered invaluable references to Mayan culture.

After our tour, you will make your way to Rio Dulce village

Day 8: Rio Dulce & Livingstone Tour – Flores Peten

Take a scenic adventure along the Rio Dulce River with this fantastic tour!

You will board a boat. Next, you’ll be taken to some of the river’s most famous sites, like the El Castillo de San Felipe de Lara, the Island of Birds, and Livingston Garifuna Village.

Once you’re done touring around these stunning locations, you’ll set sail again back towards Rio Dulce and make your way by minivan to Flores Island.

Day 9: Tikal Archaeology & Nature Tour

A tour of Tikal is an absolute must for those seeking to explore the Mayan culture.

After breakfast, you will be transported to the ancient city’s National Park.

Guided by an expert, you’ll spend the day walking through some of the world’s most impressive archeological sites and get the chance to take some fantastic photos.

Plus, if you’re lucky, you may even have a close encounter with wildlife on your journey!

Visiting this UNESCO World Heritage site is truly an unforgettable experience that everyone should experience.

Day 10: Yaxha Archaeology & Nature Tour

Today you will embark on an exciting archaeological tour of Yaxha National Park.

Here, you will have the opportunity to explore the winding causeways, ancient temples, and plaza of the site’s stunning Mayan architecture.

Afterward, stop at a local restaurant to sample some traditional Maya lowlands cuisine for lunch.

Then time to return to the airport for the trip back to Guatemala City.
